General info

Uniform is supplied through the office and Trudy will help you with this. You may wish to pop into the office and sort out your uniform during a school visit. We also have some second hand uniform available. 

 

All children at Lauriston School are provided with a Sports top. They wear these on a Friday for our sport option and then for other sports events such as Athletics Day. Children will have one of these ordered for them. Our LSS (Lauriston School Support) group kindly pays for these. 

 

Stationery is supplied at the school office and will be charged to your school account. If you would like to cover your child’s books, you can take them home to get this done before they start school. It is up to you whether you cover them or not but it does make them easier to identify for children and gives the books a longer life span. 

 

Our School day starts at 8.30am, we have morning tea from 10am – 10.30 and then Lunch from 12.30 – 1.30. We also have ‘read and feed’ twice a day where the children have something to eat while listening to a story. A packed lunchbox and drink bottle needs to be sent every day, it is very tiring when you first start school and we find that children snack often. Our school day ends at 2.30pm.

Please join us every Monday from 9.10am until 10am at the Lauriston Hall for our Perceptual Motor Programme run with the New Entrant children and preschoolers, aged between the ages of 2 and 5. Stay on for a cup of tea and a chat with the coffee group from 10am. This is a great opportunity for the children to socialise with their future peers and for you to get to know other parents in the district.
